Bayou Corne/Grand Bayou Response Activity
Thursday, July 17 work-
Sinkhole Activity Code 1 – indicating work is allowed on sinkhole and within containment berms. Seismic monitoring indicates low levels of subsurface activity near sinkhole/Oxy 3.

Air Monitoring/Sub-slab Sampling and Ventilation
– Conducting ventilation system inspections

– Continuing pumping on ORWs 4 (northwest of containment berm), 14 (Oxy 9 well pad), 15 (north of La 70, east of Gumbo Street), 48 (north of containment berm), 54 (west of Bayou Corne, south of La 70), 57 (southeast of Oxy 9 well pad)
– Installing sampling pump for ORWs 39 and 40 (north of containment berm) – testing produced water for salinity, conductivity, dissolved solids
– Completing piping connections to divert gas flow from flare 4 to flare 3, shutting in flare 4
– Conducting maintenance on newly installed air monitor station

Containment/ Roads/ Sinkhole/Survey
– Conducting daily berm inspections
– Examining bubble sites to determine candidate for initial installation of gas cap equipment
– Conducting water sampling of aquifer monitoring wells, sinkhole and surface water
– Conducting sinkhole depth/profile survey
