Bayou Corne/Grand Bayou Response Activity

Tuesday, April 29 work-

Sinkhole Activity Code 1 – indicating work is allowed on sinkhole and within containment berms. Seismic monitoring indicates low levels of subsurface activity near sinkhole/Oxy 3.

 

Air Monitoring/Sub-slab Sampling and Ventilation

– Conducting ventilation system inspections

 

ORW/CPT Wells

– Continuing pumping on ORWs 4 (northwest of containment berm), 14 (Oxy 9 well pad), 15 (north of La 70, east of Gumbo Street), 48 (north of containment berm) and 54 (west of Bayou Corne, south of La 70)

– Working over ORW 19 (west of containment berm)

– Building pad for pressure monitoring well and cone penetrometer test on south side of ORW 57 access road (southeast of Oxy 9 well pad)

 

Containment/ Roads/ Sinkhole/Survey

– Installing rip-rap on new south containment berm

– Checking water level data loggers

– Checking tiltmeters around sinkhole

– Relocating survey reflectors near sinkhole

– Grading road to ORW 54 (west of Bayou Corne, south of La 70)
