Bayou Corne/Grand Bayou Response Activity
Monday, March 24 work-
Sinkhole Activity Code 1 – indicating work is allowed on sinkhole and within containment berms. Seismic monitoring indicates continued low levels of subsurface activity near sinkhole/Oxy 3.
Air Monitoring/Sub-slab Sampling and Ventilation
– Conducting ventilation system inspections
ORW/CPT Wells
– Continuing ORW 21 pump test (north of Sauce Piquante, west of Crawfish Stew) and surveying settlement plates
– Repositioning pumps for de-watering test on ORWs 4 (northwest of containment berm) and 14 (Oxy 9 well pad)
– Conducting pump test on ORWs 24 (north of La 70, east of Sauce Piquante and Gumbo St intersection) and 32 (north of La 70, east of Gumbo St.)
Containment Berm/Roads/Sinkhole
– Continuing work on western end of new south containment berm
– Surveying containment berms and settlement plates
