Bayou Corne/Grand Bayou Response Activity
Monday, March 31 work-
Sinkhole Activity Code 1 – indicating work is allowed on sinkhole and within containment berms. Seismic monitoring indicates low levels of subsurface activity near sinkhole/Oxy 3.

Air Monitoring/Sub-slab Sampling and Ventilation
– Conducting ventilation system inspections

ORW/CPT Wells
– Continuing de-watering test on ORWs 4 (northwest of containment berm) and 14 (Oxy 9 well pad), 48 (north of containment berm) and OGRW 1 (Oxy Geismar 2 well pad)
– Performing pump maintenance on ORW 4
– Ending pump test on ORWs 1 and 32 (north of La 70, east of Gumbo St.)
– Continuing pump test on ORW 2 (north of La 70, east of Gumbo St.)

– Conducting ventilation system inspections

– Removing pump from ORW 21 (north of Sauce Piquante, west of Crawfish Stew)

– Continuing de-watering test on ORWs 4 (northwest of containment berm) and 14 (Oxy 9 well pad), 48 (north of containment berm) and OGRW 1 (Oxy Geismar 2 well pad)

– Installing new pumps on ORWs 4 and 14

– Continuing pump test on ORWs 1 and 32 (north of La 70, east of Gumbo St.)

6:25 p.m. Slough In @ Sinkhole

At approximately 3:45 this afternoon, a burp and slough-in occurred on the sinkhole. Debris is present and floating on the sinkhole and trees near Pad #3 sloughed in. A slight odor of hydrocarbons is present in the Bayou Corne community. As information develops, it will be shared here.
