Other Actions in Near-Term on Office of Conservation Directives
In status updates to Office of Conservation, Texas Brine reports:
Work ongoing to extend Rig Road west of sinkhole to southern end of containment – initial southern berm 75 percent complete, initial northern berm 30 percent complete
Drilling of deep geophone well on Rig Road (G 03, south of Hwy. 70) has reached 420 feet, rig scheduled to begin moving in Jan. 30
Drilling expected to begin on vent wells ORW 11 (south of Hwy. 70 on Rig Road) and ORW 22 (north of Hwy. 70 near community) this week
Well pad construction begun on vent wells ORW 5, ORW 7 and ORW 8 (all located along Rig Road south of Hwy. 70)
33 indoor air monitors (LEL and H2S monitors) installed in Bayou Corne community structures to date; 11 more to be scheduled through end of week
Field surveying and land access for 3-D seismic ongoing, estimated to continue through next week
