Per Texas Brine’s Update posted 10/3/2012:
“1. Gas pressure at the Observation Well head remains steady in the 950-980 psi range. Efforts are underway to design a system to possibly allow additional hydrocarbon material to be extracted from the well and to conduct additional testing that may be needed. These plans will be reviewed with LDNR.
2. No changes in the size and characteristics of the sinkhole have been observed. Vegetation and debris removal is making good progress, but it’s too early to determine a possible completion date. In addition, depth readings of the sinkhole bottom in various locations are being taken today and will be shared with LDNR when complete. Once the vegetation and debris have been removed, the remaining hydrocarbons will also be removed.”
